You know, Mr Blogger, you have been writing about Haruka’s Secret for 17 episodes now. I get the sense that you see something in this show, but frankly, I don’t sense the joy in your posts that I see with your other favorite series. So while the screenshots tell the story of this weeks episode, you and I need to have a chat. You, my friend are addicted.

Ipecac is a funny word. I was introduced to it during various storylines of the Bloom County comic strip. I was completely unaware of how to even pronounce it. Thus I looked it up, came to understand it and made it my own. Do the same, go look it up right now. I’ll wait.
Now that you’ve returned, you know why it’s not a good thing I choose to describe episode 2 of Haruka’s Secret with this word.
This filler episode is pretty much the same filler episode as the last three. You have your overheard misunderstanding.

And you have your parting line that can SO be taken the wrong way

We’re full into the Fall season with my most anticipated show of the year, Nocturne Girl’s School Lacrosse Club!

Straight from Japanator (I do read other sites, buy really, I don’t need to) are some hand held footage of trailers featured at Comiket this weekend. Most people are squeeing themselves over Fate/stay Night, a phenomenon that has completely passed me by, but I picked up on two sequals.
The first is Toaru Kagaku no Railgun, a side story from To Aru Majutsu no Index appearing to feature Misaka and Shirai, the lighting girl and teleporter from later half of the series.
The next is a sequel to Haruka’s Secret, a brainless comedy anime that was really much more fun than it should have been. The trailer suggests the introduction of a grade school character, which is never a direction I enjoy in a show.
No idea schedules on these, but I’m assuming the fall or winter if they are pimping them already. Stay tuned!
We all know what the second to last episode means – drama! As with everything in this show, the drama comes from an obvious source, but they still had to force it on us, more on this later. But first, we have to start with a fairly typical event – a birthday party!

Sometimes, you need to work to make a point. You need to drive home an argument over and over from different angles until something final drives it home. This can take time, and can be grueling to endure. Especially when it’s something that should be simple, like saying “sorry you caught me grouping our mutual friend”.

This story get simpler and simpler, to the point that just about anyone can plot out the, er, plot points that are going to crop up. So when you see the following scene, where Haruka comes to visit Yuuto at school where he was setting up for the festival with Shiina, you know what is on the other side of that door.
But how did we get here? Let’s deconstruct this episode by taking the plot points backwards to the source. Get ready for another magic journey into experimental blogging that can’t be missed! (more…)
This weeks episode is all about how perfect Yuuto is. His perfect manners, his perfect behavior, his perfect hair. All of which makes Mika conclude he and her sister are the boringest couple ever, and need she needs to teach Yuuto how to spice it up, mostly because her sister is already a lost cause. Guess how this works out?

We left Haruka and Yuuto in a tight spot. Haruka had disappeared, only to show up on Yuuto’s doorstep in full crisis mode. Once again, it was probably obvious where this was going, but if you’re like me and need it spelled out, I’ll just paste it here before the bump so there is no confusion.
