Otakon Swag Report - CC Figure Unboxing

I'm going to indulge in some personal blogging and give you the low down on a little item I bought at Otakon 09.  CC from Code Geass has me totally fascinated with her character design, and this figure mixed together the elements of her wild personality with an active pose perfectly.  This was actually hard to get.  There was a similar figure in a much more subdued outfit that was a variation of this one, and much easier to find.  At one point, I walked away from this figure for an hour and it vanished.  I think I got the last one at the con.  Therefore, this counts as a victory in anime retail, so come join me as I mount my trophy, so to speak.

This figure came in several pieces, wrapped in the traditional 4 lbs of plastic.



Here is a clearer view of the pieces.



I want you to notice something.  With that hair, plus the arm on the body, I found myself unclear how to get the head on.  From the next picture you can see that is was an intricate feat of engineering to work that hair around the arms.



I'm pretty sure I got it right, as the end result is box cover perfection.



Again, a great figure of a great character.  I'm a bit confused about the fact that this came in a box rather than the traditional display case-like packaging of more expensive figures.  Of course, my total collection is now six, so I'm hardly the omnibus of figure knowledge that would care about the difference.  As long as the quality is there, I'm gonna buy it.  Thanks for watching!
