Orange Yane No Chiisana Ie - What Happens When Your First Idea Runs Out

For #mangamonday, I'll be recommending Little House with the Orange Roof, a manga I've mentioned before. I thought I'd extend this to a blog post since Chapter 21 just showed up, and the story has taken a competly different tack from the previous 20. Some of it moves the story along, and some of it takes the past 20 chapters and throws them out the window.
The first thing you have to know is that the story jumps ahead at least nine months, I'm guessing a year since it's a nice round number. In that time, Shoutarou has been recruited by a major retail firm after being demoted by his previous company.

Here's problem number 1. We left chapter 20 with Shoutarou deciding to dedicate his time more to family than career, a big deal for a Japanese man. So how do you take a store from zero to hero in 9 months if you not focusing on your career? Either this guy is a retail genius, or not much for sticking to a plan.
Natsumi and daughters also have a modeling career of their own now.

This makes them completly independant if they have to be. This is going to be important, as the are setting up a rival for Natsumi in the form of the daughter of the company Shoutarou works for, who is looking for an worthy candidate to take over the company. With both families being independant, you're not going to have to deal with this scene much longer.

Add to this Shoutarou putting actual moves on Natsumi, completly out of character, and you can tell we are pretty much over the "we have to live in the same house? EHHHH?!?" part of the story after only 20 chapters. And I don't really like where this is going. It also puts the final nail in the coffin for my "this is a kids manga" therory if they're turning this into a love triangle.
